Delta Art and Drafting Supplies Storefront

Delta Art and Drafting Supplies was originally named Delta Paint and Decorating Centre. Historically, the store distributed some art supplies, but also sold hardware items, decorating supplies, and even wallpaper. Gradually it evolved into an artist supply store, and in 1993, William John Scott, Delta's present owner and operator, took over. John had spent years in the drafting and art supply business, and with his expertise, the store's reputation grew quickly as a superior supplier of art supplies. Delta became a popular place for artists to shop, to discuss their art, and to gather information about the products they could use.

Delta is a place where there are always new lines to meet the artists' needs. As a result, the store now has over 27,000 different inventory items. Delta carries lines of products not easily available elsewhere such as Old Holland, Michael Harding, Art Spectrum and Daniel Smith.   This type of selection attracts many clients.

Delta staff members are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They are happy to spend the time with their customers to ensure each patron leaves the store with the required information and supplies needed. Customers have commented that the information and service available from the staff brings them back again and again. Not only do Delta staff members assist customers locally, they also field questions from artists across the country.

In 2005 Delta suffered a setback that could have led to its demise. The store burned to the ground. It took months to deal with insurance companies, to find a new location, to restock and to be ready for business. The loyal customers of Delta patiently waited.

The new store is three times the size of the original and it is filled to the rafters. The development of the Delta Website offers yet another shopping choice for Delta Customers.
